The new Panasonic HDC-HS250 full-HD camcorder is promising big things. For one, this 120GB HDD "semi-professional" camcorder shoots full 1920 x 1080 HD video and features a 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD. Its 3MOS image sensor system has the highest total pixel count in the world (9.15MP). Also part of the Panasonic promise is the camcorder's increased low light performance, many thanks to the 1.6 lux luminance.

What's great about the HDC-HS250 is that it can give you high image quality. It shoots still images up to 10.6MP resolution, or 8.3MP resolution while simultaneously recording motion images. The camcorder also features a 5.1-ch surround sound system featuring 5 mics with Zoom and Focus functions. The Auto Focus Tracking has been incorporated to the Intelligent Auto mode, which judges the scene automatically and comes up with the best possible settings, keeping your subject in focus.

The Panasonic HDC-HS250 camcorder comes with a Leica Dicomer lens with a 12x optical zoom, a USB port, an integrated 77mV speakers, and a 0.26-inch EVF. It can record videos in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 AVCHD format and compress audio part using the Dolby Digital (Dolby AC3)/5.1-ch codec. It also features a highlight playback function for a quick and easy viewing of recorded images. Initial price is $999.95.

Hs250 is really very easy to carry. Weighing just more than a pound, with dimension of 2.9 inches wide by 2.7 inches high by 5.0 inches long. The hs250 is the smallest, though not the lightest, Of the three and is larger than competitor like the canon vixia Hg20. It is comfortable to hold, especially with the sight upward curve toward the back that makes the zoom switch and photo butoon easier to reach.
