Epoch Clock

The Epoch Clock

Think Geek has come up with another geeky idea: the Epoch Clock.

This bedside clock boasts of being able to display time in a number of different formats and converting a time display from one format to another. Time formats include: Standard, Hexadecimal, Octal, Binary and Roman.

The Epoch clock also displays Unix and the date - both of which can be turned on and off. You can also choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour time format.

Other features include a snooze function, and a two-volume setting (futuristic and retro). It uses LED for its display, has back-up power from two AA batteries and USB port that provides output power.

It's dimensions are 7" x 2.6" x 2.2".

Think Geek's Epoch Clock is probably perfect for math scholars and number fanatics, but really, most people just want to know the time. Besides, do we really want to make our timepieces into complicated things?

But still, it's nice to have something different whenever we want to know the exact hour, minute and second.

Available online for $49.99.
