Strida 5.0 Folding Bike

UK-based manufacturer Strida is known for their belief that "products need not only sound engineering but also aesthetics and humanity." It is actually Strida designer and inventor of the folding bike, Mark Sanders' vision that got things started.

Their latest creation, the Strida 5.0 folding bike looks both old-fashioned and futuristic at the same time, yet also somewhat resembles a stationary exercise bike. But actually, it's fairly handy and use-friendly. In fact, it's called the "the world's simplest folding bike."

Comparing it to the previous Strida folding bike - the 3, Strida designers made some pretty nice changes. For one, it's light at 10kgs. It also uses disc brakes instead of the old drum brakes. They also used alloys for the rims and hubs instead of nylon and plastic, making more durable.

All of this and "world's simplest folding bike" folds in about 6 seconds so a storage-friendly.

Also, it comes 10 really cool colors.

lighter at 19.4 pounds (compared to 22), uses disc brakes (instead of drum) and has alloys for the rims and hubs (instead of nylon and plastic). All this, and it still folds down in six seconds to a handy, diminutive size that lends itself oh so well to the short commute.
